Thank you for your interest in purchasing animals or add-ons at the 2024 Arapahoe County Youth Livestock Auction! The Youth Livestock Auction is a longstanding tradition at the Arapahoe County Fair. This annual event showcases the hard work of our county’s 4H livestock exhibitors.
We invite individuals, groups, and businesses to bid on locally raised lambs, hogs, goats, poultry, rabbits and cattle. All proceeds go directly to the individual 4H exhibitors.
4H exhibitors follow quality assurance practices in nutrition, health, and care of their livestock. The animals are judged at the fair by experienced livestock evaluators. Animals that meet established market quality standards may be auctioned at the Youth Livestock Auction.
The Youth Livestock Auction is an independent 501(c)3 and your purchases and add-ons may be tax-deductible.
Register to purchase Add-Ons and bid in the 2024 Arapahoe County Youth Livestock Auction. The auction will be held live at the Arapahoe County Fairgrounds Saturday, July 29 at 5pm.
Register by July 8 to get your Free Admission Pass mailed to you prior to the Fair. You will receive your BBQ tickets and bidder number when you check in at the auction.
Complete a separate registration form for each buyer from your organization, company, or household.
When you purchase an animal through the Arapahoe County Youth Livestock Auction, you are not only supporting our 4H youth, you also get to fill your freezer with premium meat.
You have three options for the animals you purchase. Just let us know which option you prefer after you place your winning bid.
If you have a preferred butcher and have secured a processing date, choose the Home option. You will be responsible for transporting the animals you've purchased to your selected butcher.
Choose one of our local butchers to process your meat - Your Choice Meats in Wiggins, Deer Trail Custom Cuts, or Atlas Meat Company in Fort Collins. We'll transport your animals to the butcher immediately after the sale. You are responsible for processing fees and picking up your meat.
If you are unable or would prefer not to process the animal, choose the Buy-Back option. You'll pay the difference between market price and your winning bid.
We recommend submitting your cut sheets immediately after the auction ends.
